In this time of the COVID-19 pandemic, our perception of time has necessarily become distorted. As time continues to pass, the world around us seems busy continuing to mix things together, generating uncertainty around everything while accumulating the potential for the possibility of anything. "Time as Accumulation of Chance" is a representation of the first six weeks of lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic. Timelapses and slow-motion videos are paired with audio samples, both created and taken from nature, with the intent to conjure the strange mix of anxiety, calmness, destruction, and beauty of this period of time. The videos and audio accumulate in a pattern that mimics the sides of a die, a reminder of the possibilities and chances we have been taking, both good and bad over the last six weeks.
