Anna Pillot's "INBalance | IMBalance" (https://www.colorado.edu/atlas/inbalance-imbalance) was the second Creative Artist's residency at the B2 Center for Media, Art, and Performance that I had the opportunity to collaborate on. In this project I began to develop my role as an Intermedia Art Director, helping the artist navigate the intermedia ecosystem of the Black Box Experimental Studio. In "INBalance | IMBalance" we used heart rate monitors to control led lighting and video cue changes that created an immersive and non-linearly responsive environment that Anna Pillot and Caroline Butcher had control over through their relative exertion.
